Sunday, March 11, 2012 - This is a delicious, lip smacking juicy Chianti. It seems more rich and full than the '06 which is also terrific, but in a more structured way. Dark red, almost Cab like. Smells of damp earth, dusty tannins with a whiff of cherry. Lovely cherry fruit, some earth, with some underlying hints of leather and tar. Tannins take a back seat to the fruit and acids. There is a certain floral aspect here along with a hint of tea. Very interesting.
