2007 Fontodi Chianti Classico

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Thursday, December 18, 2014 - Probably at peak right now, with the perfect mixture of the remnants of its youth and some more interesting secondary/tertiary elements. Still a medium-dark brick red at the core, with really pretty aromas of leather, horsehair, dusty sage, mushrooms, cedar and soil. Not tiring on the palate, though it seems the acids are likely to outlive the fruit. This medium-bodied, red-fruited, classic effort is best consumed now or in the next few years. 14,5% abv is completely resolved. recommended

Aerated to decanter 45 minutes, served non-blind.
