Thursday, December 26, 2013 - This is a great sparkling wine from Bourgogne.
You can feel the time spent on lees and the bottle ageing with complex aromas of wood, bread and tea leaves. This is not the "fresh" sparkling type, this is more on the savoury side, it caresses your mouth smoothly and is balanced by a nice acidity. The aftertaste is long and nice.

The only point is the price: would you pay 8,000 yen (75 dollars or 55 euros) for a Cremant de Bourgogne, even an high level one? Many of us will probably use their money for a Champagne instead.
