Wednesday, July 9, 2014 - Fantastic wine.
Golden colour as I expect from a wine of this age. What I did not expect were the intense aromas of anise, officinal herbs, licorice and honey. There were also dry fruits (especially dry figs) and dry leaves scents, with a hint of gasolin enriching the mix.
Sweet, but not cloying, it offers good body and medium acidity. The gasolin aroma is especially strong in the mouth.
Really an outstanding wine, not so expensive for what you get. However I am not sure how further it can be aged, the fruit (even though delicious) is no more fresh and acidity has lost some vigour. I would drink it in the next 3 or 4 years.
