92 Points

Saturday, July 16, 2011 - Pop and pour. It is difficult to describe just how good a syrah this is at such a young stage. This bottle still shows the focused and tart red and black fruit, with varietal syrah meatiness, but this bottle added a very prominent and deep layer of spice and herb which I attribute to not so much aging but a very shifty and multifaceted wine. Again the acidity is so refreshing and everything is staying in front of a generous amount of tannin on the finish. The delicious factor here is very strong. There is such a harmony of fruit, acid, and tannin that I can't help but think of how good this will be some years down the road. But man is it good right now. I really hope to drink one of these in 5-8 years. 92+. Bravo.
