Saturday, November 19, 2011 - Um... wow! Huge nose of mint, pepper and grilled meats... captivating! I could smell this all night. The palate is very complete with excellent balance - enough tannin to carry it for years, enough acid to make you salivate for that next sip, plenty of fruit without the sweetness so typically seen in California and Washington syrahs. This is a stellar effort! Johnny Cabot is doing great things in Humboldt County! Nah... must be the terrior... ;-)
