With this masterpiece closing the magnifficent trio in the best possible way, I can frankly say that my visit to Sassicaia and the wine-tasting at the nearby tavern was the highlight of my Tuscany experience. This wine is still a baby and will need at least 8-10 years to start showing its real class, but has the unmistakeable signs of a future masterpiece. Incredibly complex with ink, cedar, tar and graphite, mid+ bodied and elegant with very firm but fine-grained tanins, high acidity and a nearly endless finish. A future star in its infancy...
