Thursday, March 17, 2011 - when i first popped the cork on this thing and sloshed some into a glass, it was giving off these over-the-top wafts of tomato plant — that spicy, sun-soaked smell — that i wasn't quite prepared for. after a while of me feeling uncomfortable and (at the same time) weirdly excited about it, the juice settled down and gave more the old-school bordelaise character i was expecting from the rothschild-owned winery. lacks polish, but a stimulating wine just the same.
