93 Points

Sunday, June 4, 2023 - Tasted double blind. This was the weakest among the four Pinots but in no way weak. It needed time to come out of its shell and release all the gorgeous Amoureuses fruit and seductiveness but overall showed less well-defined than the other wines. It already showed some promising tertiary notes which went well with the red fruit core. Very good but without exceptionalism.

TN: Light and airy nose, mushrooms, tobacco. On the palate fresh, round, fine and elegant. Not hyper complex, but showing some nice tertiary notes of mushrooms, tobacco, earthy notes, dark red fruit, and spices. With time more and more bright red fruit. A bit mush and not that well defined. Fine tannins, good freshness, elegant and light, missing a bit of oomph and mid palate density.

Decanting: This neesd some air. I would go with an hour+ in the decanter.
