Thursday, May 7, 2020 - Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Virtual Tasting (Planet Earth): Opened and decanted at 3 PM, first tasted at 6:30 Still slightly reductive when first tasted, which took a good 30 minutes in glass to dissipate. Even then, still backward for another hour+, but this slowly, grudgingly opened up and softened nicely by 9 PM. At that point, plenty of red berry and orange peel came through with meaty, fully savory spice. Very long finish. So...both patience and air are required.
