Saturday, July 30, 2011 - Older Oregon Pinots (Wildwood, Portland OR): nose: pretty and perfumed nose of red fruits, cherries, red florals, along with perfume and incense tones. Rather demure and understated, but very lovely at the same time
taste: this is very alive on the palate with very good depth and polish with medium/high acidity and a silky medium feel and fresh tones of cherries, fresh picked berries, red fruits and loads of red florals
overall: this was a lot more dark than one would've expected. This certainly didn't seem like a 25+ year old wine at all and while it had some bricking, it wasn't too much. Another elegant and pretty pinot in a lineup filled with them
