This needed ~45 minutes in a decanter to really open up. Faded but very pretty aromas of red fruit, florals, and underbrush and a silky palate that was very much alive. It's not getting better—and was definitely at its peak several years ago—but was charming and beautiful to drink. A special opportunity.

Older Oregon Pinots (Wildwood, Portland OR): nose: pretty and perfumed nose of red fruits, cherries, red florals, along with perfume and incense tones. Rather demure and understated, but very lovely at the same time
taste: this is very alive on the palate with very good depth and polish with medium/high acidity and a silky medium feel and fresh tones of cherries, fresh picked berries, red fruits and loads of red florals
overall: this was a lot more dark than one would've expected. This certainly didn't seem like a 25+ year old wine at all and while it had some bricking, it wasn't too much. Another elegant and pretty pinot in a lineup filled with them

Old Oregon Pinot Noir - Wine Berserker off-line (Wildwood restaurant - Portland, OR): Delicious nose showing dark chocolate covered strawberry and cherries. The palate shows bright cherries and red fruit. Showing less age than I expected for how old this wine is. Very light feel on the palate but with great flavor intensity and balanced structure, the acidity right in line with the palate and late-hitting tannin. Overall very delicious, still completely alive. While not the most complex, every other step this wine made was perfect.
