Friday, December 22, 2017 - A lost Friday afternoon gathering – 96 Krug mag, 99 Fourrier CSJ, blind CDB flight and etc. (Blacksalt, Washington DC): Expressive nose displaying bright red fruit, strawberry, crushed cherry, very spicy, a hint of marijuana which can be attributed to cedar/oak, nutmeg, sap and earth. Excellent concentration, sappy red fruit driven palate impression, precise and detailed, bright acidity, strong limestone mineral and a long bright red fruit and cedar driven finish. I really like the bright red fruit and precision. Still needs another ten years to gain sous bois. The excellent precision, detail and red fruit made me guess the 08 Bouchard.
