Tuesday, April 2, 2024 - Perfectly mature nose displaying bright red fruit, cherry, strawberry, strong sous bois, grilled cep, Vosne spice, Chinese medicinal cabinet, stem, cinnamon and nutmeg and limestone. Fully integrated palate, very finely layered generous red fruit, silky and airy, beautiful detail and precision, bright acidity, fine limestone mineral, and a seamless long sweet red fruit driven finish. There is a hint of bitterness that is not bothersome. The 08 DRCs very unique and special. They were showing a lot of Vosne spice from the beginning. They matured quickly and now are perfectly mature, which is not a bad thing.
