Wednesday, January 2, 2013 - Changed a lot on the first night. Tight rich fruit initially with some obvious oak coming out after a couple hours. On the second night the minerally, slatey notes show up though with the vanilla oak receding. There is some herby, wood type notes lingering but in a positive way. Offers more hedonistic pleasures today but should reward some medium cellaring for those that want to see that complexity integrate more completely.
