Tuesday, November 5, 2019 - Opens up with a nose of funk and dirt that takes some time to blow off. Old-school Hermitage in the elegant, lighter style driven by high acidity and flavors of iron, meat broth, and rustic, dark fruit. Has a wild rugged side but also a floral side that places it in between Cornas and Cote Rotie, but it is indeed Hermitage. With Niels and some lamb for Tuesday lunch.
