Friday, July 11, 2014 - Bordeaux 2009/2010 tasting at home. Double-decanted for 7 hours. Jumps out of the glass with notes of cassis/black currant, sweet flowers, oak, sweet spices (cloves, cinnamon). On the palate there are again lots of spices, tobacco, dark berries, cassis and flowers and some lead pencil. It's medium-full bodied and very elegant, with medium+ acidity and medium-high tannin that is very silky. Long finish. A very aromatic Pauillac with great complexity and tons of elegance. Love it!
