Friday, January 27, 2012 - 2009 Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux Tasting; 1/27/2012-1/31/2012 (Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Chicago, Illinois): 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. The first wine I tried that really stood out at the tasting. Well balanced with spiced fruit, cocoa and mint notes. Firm tannins. 92-95 points.
