Sunday, November 30, 2014 - 2 bottles, both with about 30 minutes of decanting each. On opening was treated to a big nose of rich fruit that easily cut through what you would expect at a big, busy prime steakhouse. I was a little concerned this wine was young, first taste put that to rest. Wine was dark in color, lots of rich dark fruit, not too fruity and not too earthy. Essentially perfect in every way. And the finish kept on going. As the evening progressed and the decant time lengthened this wine kept opening to reveal more richness. This was a perfect blend. Can easily understand the scores it got, don't know why I gave it a 97, not sure what could have been better.
