Wednesday, December 21, 2011 - Popped and poured. Initially very closed on the nose. Mix of cherry and blackberry with attractive chewy tannins. Had a lengthy finish with some lingering oak, but definitely not over-oaked. Acidity is there and this will age nicely for at least another 5 years. Very nice complexity and balance. After an hour the nose really opened up and the overall flavor profile improved significantly.
