Saturday, February 11, 2012 - The nose on this is gorgeous--like a spring meadow. Earth, grass, flowers, etc. Unfortunately, the finish mars the wine a bit with an astringent grapefruit pith flavor. That attack is lovely with minerality and silky dark fruits. The middle is a little hollow. Med/high acidity, cranberry like flavors. It improves with aeration, but the finish didn't come around. Tannins were fairly accessible.
