Wednesday, July 13, 2011 - France 2011 - Côte d'Or; 7/8/2011-7/13/2011 (Beaune): Tasted at the Domaine. Red and black cherries aromas with hints of earth. This is rounder in the mouth with richer flavours, soft but fine tannins and decent acidity. Doesn’t have the freshness or vibrancy that the ‘08 has. Compared to the 2010 barrel sample this has a warmer, darker and riper profile. Different but yummy and will age. Very good. 89+
