91 Points

Wednesday, January 6, 2021 - NSG 1er Cru South (Chicago, IL): Single blind and readily identifiable as the 2009 given its ripe, dark and brooding character. Black cherry and earth tones on the nose. Palate is bigger, dense with brooding, tense structure. Along with the 2005, the most substantial of all vintages tasted, and I like the potential here better than the 2005 as the structure seems more amicable. Upside from here.
