Saturday, August 14, 2010 - A striking contrast to the 1995. This wine is distinctly riper and seems more mature. Although darker in color, the nose has a clear port-like edge to it, with pretty black fruit underneath. Ripe and almost flabby in the mouth, with spicy black fruit. This suffers from a lack of structure at this point, with the acidity almost completely resolved. The finish, however, props things up again with a nice burst of fruit. B
