Saturday, July 27, 2013 - Really lovely shimming pale gold - looks like a Californian Chardonnay!
N: M+ intensity with nice stone fruit, nectarine and peach scents.
P: Plump, viscous and slightly oily attack with a really lovely balance of sweet mirabelle jam flavours combined with some touches of apricot and subtle cinnamon. With air this gave way to notes of old Chenin blanc such as hay and quince. There's a richness here which is making this eminently drinkable right now. Much discussion was had about potential for development, I believe it will continue to be interesting for some time though it will never be a luscious, overtly sweet auslese
