Sunday, October 2, 2011 - Very dark purple-red color. Aerated into glass. Nose has nice fruit, blackberry, blueberry pie, some herbalness, cedar, spice. The palate is round and balanced, with nice firm tannins, medium finish, black and blue fruits along with oak, pepper, and some anise. I found this more vibrant initially than day 2 myself. At 24-28 hours I would give this 90, but initially this was 91pts.
