Old school Barolo. Essentially undrinkable the first night. Slow oxed for probably 24 hours over 2 days. 1 week later after being corked and sitting on the counter, it's almost open.

Used a bit in a Bolognese sauce and drank the rest. Color was a nice dark red that was a bit lighter than a typical Barolo. Despite close to a decade of aging, the wine didn't show any bricking. To taste it seemed well-matured with integrated tannins, but didn't necessarily hint at an immediate down slope. I was surprised by the less than full body nature which seemed to echo the coloring. Overall a nice week night drinker, but no reason to hold out hope for serious improvement with age.

PnP. Very nice and and extraordinary value through the distributor's employee sale. Some fruit, lots of acid, perhaps not that complicated but for $18...

Still has life! But last bottle. Enjoyed it and amazing QPR at the $18 I paid.

Old tasting note: Aroma of medicine cabinet and amarena cherries.

Cherries, tar. Good balance. Good QPR. Not bad for an industrial producer.

Probably bottle variarion or storage problem? This one had tons of VA, some of it faded with air but the wine was a bit flat and slightly maderized.

Fruit-forward grape flavors well-balanced with well-integrated firm tannins and a long, luscious finish.

Good. Declining. I don't think it will endure 2 more years. Drink now.

That's a nice Barolo. Should have decanted more.
