Still deep red. Has melted some tannins since I tasted it 3 years ago, but it is still quite tannic. Tannic aromas too, in addition to plenty of fruit. Rather rustique for Burgundy. Tasted better in a Bordeaux glass than in a Burgundy glass, which gives some indications of the style.

Impressive, purple red color. Dark berries, resin, liqourice and wood on the nose. Hard tannins, like so many other 95's from Burgundy. In this case with plenty of fruit, but I am not sure if it will "come around". 18 years is a lot for a village.. Anyway, I will keep the last bottle for 5 years, or so, and hope for the tannins to melt.

First nose of chocolate and in particular licorice, which is also very present on the palate. The wine is delicate, with a mouthfeel like lace. Balance is good, nice acidity and integrated tannins. Delicious. With more time the power comes, stronger and stronger until the wine almost seems rough. This push makes it fall apart a little bit. The nose shows more and more animalistic notes, the palate becomes a bit brutal.
