Medium red, dark berry & cola aromas, plenty of dark berry fruit , a tad sweet, smooth mouthfeel, sweet fruit medium length finish. Not bad given its age. Served with roast chicken and gnocchi.

My fiar experience with aged California Pinot. Still quite pleasant, but seem to be past its prime. Fruit is not as dominant anymore and earth flavors are quite easy to taste. Still one of my favorite brands of Cali Pinot.

Very dark and cloudy. Aromas of dark berries and must. Muted dark cherry and toast flavors with good acidity and well integrated finish. A little too much heat.

Consistent with other taster's notes for the 2002. Very port like and dense, VERY cloudy, minimal fruit. The product of way too much wood? Second day, no significant change.

Excellent example of Ca pinot. Nice bottle age. Wonderfully balanced. Deep Rasberry color. Damp lively nose. Black cherry, rhubarb, casis palate with clean fresh finish. Luscious rich food wine or a wine for meditation.

Excellent wine to go with the wonderful Thanksgiving feast. Decanted for about 3 hours. Great dark red color - jammy raspberry fruit flavors, slight hint of vanilla.

Nice red-purple color that sort of supported the wild cherry and kirsch flavors. There was a little bit of spice, but hard to note through the tannins. The bottle was open a couple of hours and never really lost the tightness. Was a better food wine with the acidity and tannins than many W-S offerings.

Nose unexceptional dark fruit, Lovely light bodied wine, very minerally- like licking stones, with cranberry, pomegranite and apple. Finish is long with more minerals, citrus and plum. Although delicious, I continue to find better wines for the price.

Very nice, balanced wine with kirsch and cola notes. Best single vineyard WS I have had in awhile. Still not sure these are worth the price but great if your friends bring them over!

This bottle drank very nicely. The aromas were classic RRV spice and wood incense. The body light, and yet full flavored. Compared very favorably with a 2003 village Burgundy, but the Burgundy was half the price.

At its peak or in the downslope in early '15. Regardless, very, very good. Complex, nice Pinot texture with spicy fruit.

Relatively ripe and rich, but nice in its style. No hurry to drink any time soon.

Solid wine, but too overextracted for my taste now. Dense, dark ruby color. Jammy berry flavors.

Dark viscous red color. Dark cherry, vanilla and spice nose. Full on ripe, but tart cherrys with decent finish. Will last a few more years.

very ripe black cherries, less candyish finish than expected (good!), medium body, good acid

Kept waiting for the wine to open up, but it didn't. Something a bit out of balance about this one.
