Brought this to Asia Grand for dinner with my spouse. Paired this wine with a Peking Duck.
Nice peachy colour. On the nose the vibrancy and freshness can still be detected, giving the wine a welcoming fragrance.
On the palate the age of the wine is evident. Still showing hints of peaches and apricot, the wine has lost its youth and freshness. Not as exciting as it should be.
Still, it is zesty and a good wine to complement most Asian cuisines. Not Peking duck though.

Wine Interest Group Rosé tasting (Extra Space, Boon Keng): Light pink and orange hues. Subtle nose showing citrus, red fruits and hints of petrol and smoke. Soft entry with touch of sweetness, elegant red fruits and strawberry. Faded fruits but smooth on palate, clean finish.

Drank this at Extra Space @ Boon Keng for a Rosé tasting session. Tasted alongside the Drumsara Pinot Rosé, Orliac Bergerie de L'Hortus Coteaux du Languedoc Rose de Saignee, Château Miraval Côtes de Provence Rosé and Turkey Flat Rosé (all from the 2012 vintage.)
Colour is turning Orangy-pink, perhaps a sign of its age? Rosés are best drank within the first 2 years of harvest, so this is a considerably 'aged' rosé.
Wine has a petroleum nose upon opening, probably as it was kept under screwcap for the past 4 years. Nice notes of orange peel and citrus fruits followed.
On the palate this wine is light, with soft notes of kamquat, strawberries and salak.
An interesting experience tasting a 4 year old rosé.

I have never liked rosés, and I probably never will. But it was about time to challenge my prejudice and broaden my horizon with a small tasting with some colleagues from work. This is made from Shiraz, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Dolcetto, Pretty intense raspberry/orange color. Expressive nose of red fruits, but also some dark fruits and a touch of spices. Medium body, smooth, no hard edges, but it misses some acidity to provide freshness. Overall it leaves a cotton-candish kind of impression (without being sweet) and was not my cup of tea at all.

8/10 - Pleasant nose of strawberries and raspberries with just a bit of alcohol wipe. Thankfully, the alcohol is more subdued on the palate. The fruity flavours are held together well by good acid that's not overbearing. A good fun drinker.

7.5/10 - Refer to previous note. Good daily drinker. No more alcohol wipe smell.

7.5/10 - Same as the previous note. Enjoyable daily drinker. Probably not complex enough for 8/10, but still good nonetheless.

A very smooth rose, probably the smoothest we have had (and we drink rose).

A rose with above average flavour concentration. But finish is slightly bitter.
