Previous bottles have shown varying levels of brett (except for the first bottle). This one is firing on all cylinders. Excellent Bourgogne level wine! Bright red fruit with spice and some earthiness; silky, and still very good on day two.

Once again with this wine, I find some brett, which shows as a sort of slightly metallic finish. Interestingly, the aromas of fruit and earth were quite nice, even showing some complexity (well, maybe just a hint of brett).

They say its that first cherry high in burgundy which is going to cause you to keeping questing in Burgundy forever yet never achieve it again.
We'll this one achieved it.
Off the chain - a gorgeous core of dark cherry fruit but then savory, herby, meaty, bloody, earthy, truffly, and layers and layers. Stunning good. Such a breathtaking wine I can still taste it days later.

PNP. Cork perfect. Color garnet. Nose has earthy cherry and five spice. Swishing has earthy spicy acidity w a tart finish. Sipping shows the fruit which is surprisingly rich for a Bourgogne with nice balance and med tart finish. Thanks mike.

Wow, nice to be surprised by a friend bringing this to a tasting night, after I had liked it a lot during a brief encounter in 2012. It has come together really nicely, and would wipe the floor with loads of other producer's 1er cru bottlings. Broad, ripe, sappy and spicy. Very expressive.

Very dark core and reddish at the rim. Barnyard/animal bouquet with a vague hint of spice. - pretty rustic. On the palate a good firm earthy, spicy mildly fruity drink with a little acid touch. This pallette is pretty consistent from palate to the finish. Not much else to say except that I'm loving every sip. Very Good.

Deep ruby with a purple hue. Earthy notes of strawberry and rhubarb come off the nose. The palate is similar and adds stewed fruits with tannins that are slightly coarse. Lacks depth and character. Long, smooth finish. Good - drink now.

Popped and poured a sample. Starts off quite volatile and bretty on the nose. The brett is pronounced on the palate, with a metallic finish. Nothing like the previous bottle of this wine.

Whoa! Was not expecting a nose like that on a rouge! The profile is so classic, and there are some really firm tannins, to boot. This is a bourgogne rouge that could age.

Nose leans more towards spices and earthy scents as opposed to red and blue fruits. Good fruit on the palate with some more of the spiciness found on the nose. No hint of tartness or acidity that I often find in young Burgundies. All in all, an outstanding value that is simply delicious.

Luscious nose of cherries and plums with tantalizing hints of maple and spice. A real disappointment on the palate though: rather acrid and sharp with pronounced tannin, acid and bitter wood without much fruit.

What's not to like? A very nice wine for its level, spice and earth tones backed by solid red fruit on the nose, and a richly detailed palate of earth and red fruit, with a mildly tannic structure. Could use a couple years to soften out the tannins. Nothing deep or complex, but pretty yummy stuff!

Awesome QPR on this bottle! Deep rich powerful sweet and nutty nose with caramel and lily. Big structure, intense concentration. Earthy finish. Really held up to breathing time.

The nose has a lot of brett and initially gives an impression of some barnyardy left bank Bordeaux. That somewhat dissipates with time in the glass. In the end this is an excellent Bourgogne with ripe and intensive fruit and a good balance. Nothing to get too excited about, but a nice drink.

A nice blend of red and dark fruits with notes of espresso grounds on the nose. Good depth on the palate, very earthy with hints of soy and mushroom. A very refined profile from a potentially forward vintage, without a single overripe note nor any sense of unbalanced lushness. An excellent bourgogne.

Subtle, mild, smooth, light, fresh, interesting, clean, and very, very good. easily the best regional bourgogne I've tasted so far. The '09 vintage is a charm! Hopefully it'll evolve nicely as well!

Unfortunately, my last bottle of this. Really drinking well, and still very good on day 2. And this is just a "simple" Bourgogne?

A savory, meaty wine, though also has some brett. Not to a flawed level, but enough to lessen the experience.
