(13.5%) Berry, briar oaky nose with slight basil notes. Nice silky, smooth mouthfeel. Medium bodied with plum and berry fruit this one has a tinge of green on the back of the palate. Tart but creamy raspberry with hits of spice on the finish.

Had at the Blue Note in NYC when listening to John Scofield. This was a $9/glass with a $2 tip. It lists for about $9/bottle through wine-searcher, so even more than the usual mark-up, but probably not unusual for a music club. The wine was pleasant and it paired well with the music (!). There is a modest spice, but overall this is not an outstanding Malbec. I think the main sense that I had was that there was not the depth or the balance that seems to come out from the better Malbecs. The taste was certainly pleasant -- a bit stronger on the fruit side and the nice pepper flavor comes along, but its not quite in the order or the balance that I would ideally like. Still, this would be fine as a gift wine or with BBQ. Just not one that I would view as a really high end Malbec.

Aromas of blackberries, plums, and green peppers. Palate is very spicy and rich, with notes of anise, berries, and a nice creamy undertone. The finish is nice and deep with a warm fig notes. Great value at price point.

Shared a bottle at Bamboo Bistro in LA. The pairing with food was excellent. This reminded me of the best in Malbec quality. The wine was very smooth, relatively weak nose, excellent spice taste with cherry, vanilla and black fruit. The aftertaste was a bit mineral in a positive way. Weak tannins and very positive feel to it. The price per bottle at the restaurant was not unreasonable, but not sure about at a wine store. Worthwhile at this price point for getting again.

Consumed over 3 days. Right off fairly well balanced with good fruit and a smooth finish. This wine has a richness greater than its price. It settled and got better.

Dark berry fruits and cherries. Slightly sticky tannin. Ok, basic wine.

this is a nice bottle and for the price I could see this as bottle to keep around the house for the weekdays after work.

Spicy Malbec from Argentina. Slightly acidic with sour undertones. Finish lingers with pepper and anise. Not one oft favorite Malbec.
