Tasted in a mini-vertical with 2006/2007/2008. The 2007 was the group favorite with bright peppery fruit and probably at its prime. The 2008 was pleasant-- a bit tannic and the fruit may fade first. The 2006 was also pleasant and soft (a bit prune-like). All three worth drinking up.

Dark blackberry, black cherry, smoky and inky. This is a big fruity wine with high tannins that will hold up and maybe benefit from more time. Nice peppery, medium finish.

Wild black fruit adventure- delicious blackberry and plum with savoury and pepper. Dark ruby colour. Best two hours plus after decanting yet still tasting soft tannic tones but with pleasant uniqueness.

400 cases made. Big, big fruit and structure. Lots of tannins, fruit holds up to them but barely. This is dry stuff. Huge wine, I love this but others will be challenged.

Opaque inky magenta color with blackberry, cocoa, spice, and smoked bacon fat aromas. On the palate, it's full-bodied, viscous, hedonitic, and extracted with blackberry, baked blueberry, cassis, vanilla spice, and bittersweet chocolate flavors. Long finish. 15% alcohol.

Dark, inky and opaque purple color showing of its high concentration like a peacock that struts its tail feathers.... medium/plus viscosity. Muscular aromas of black and blue fruits framed with wood, chocolate and spice. The palate shows power and structure, with flavors of blackberry, black currant, cassis, blueberry reduction, vanilla, white pepper, and baking spices with bittersweet chocolate. Complex (and yet still a little tight). Firm tannins are well integrated with great acidity! the finish is long lasting for minutes. Still young and should age well in the bottle. Needs generous decant!

Still very structured; could easily go another five years. Excellent mouth feel with characteristic punch of a petit syrah. Went great with ribs.

Quite polished for a Petite Sirah. It should continue to age and was fun to drink. Typical Petite Sirah simplicity. User friendly style.

Smooth, big dark fruit (blackberry, prune) tastes. Not as vibrant tastes as 2013 bottle. Past its prime?
