Very small tasting pour at an event in Portland, Or. First 30 minutes or so showed a great amount of bug spray, and brett on the nose. With time this blew off showing a nice wine. I would highly suggest giving this plenty of air before expecting anything nice.

Twenty Appellations of Burgundy (E&R Wine Shop, Portland OR): Soft aromas and lighter than the previous G-C, offering rich aromas of bubble gum. Good freshness to these yummy aromas, coupled with some soil. The palate is soft and light, with mild fruit, but nice intensity of fruit, though it doesn't quite match the scale of the massive body. Still good flavors, just not too balanced. Soft, daft acidity. Nice with mild fruit and funk, but not much depth or complexity.

A sleek and sublime beauty, shy and reticent now but powerful underneath. With exotic spice, dark chocolate, ultra dark red fruit and a touch of coffee swirling in and out. Went surprisingly (or not so surprisingly) well with Tamarine's modern Vietnamese like tea leaf beef and silky braised black cod.

The style of Burgundy I love! Sweetness, oak and spice. Sharpness and power! Great wine, love it.

Showing beautifully -- loaded with fruit, dark chocolate, clove, spice... Silky and balanced. Lovely Burg.

Tart, a bit unbalanced. Or maybe I am not seeing how this could turn out in a few years. Tasted at Uncorked Burgundy 2009 en primeur.
