Picked up on a close-out last year at $13 or so. At that price its a good buy. Menthol, red fruit and a hint of nose on the nose. About what you would expect with ripe red fruits and sweet tannins on the rear. Not a thinker; definitely Ausie.

The first bottle i had was better, i thought so anyway. This had a funky nose that reminded me of tequila. The palate was a bit of menthol and eucalyptus but overall came off a bit medicine like.

Decent wine. A bit of menthol, earthiness, but also a sweetness and funk(VA?). Not something I'd want to drink often. Another crappy Aussie for me. Do these things not age at all?

Big, dark, chewy Aussie Cab. Minty nose, strong hint of sour cherries under abundant tannins. Very good depth of flavor, and nice finish. Good varietal character. Drinking well, but still a bit tart and puckery. Think another year or two in the bottle will help it improve, but still quite approachable. Would recommend this one.

Enjoyed this one very much. I'm a newbie, but I would say it was ready to drink. Mine had not been stored in a proper cellar, so that could account for something.

Interesting, this wasn't as good as we remembered as the last bottle we had was spectacular, still very good - Dark, almost black, well concentrated with black fruit, mint, chocolate, tar and vanillla notes on the nose, well structured with strong tannins on the palate, the finish was medium in length (89 Points).

Tasted at Wolf Blass Cellar Door: This Langhorne Creek Cab Sav is deep red in appearance. Peppery in aroma the taste gives gritty, fine grain tannins and real eucalyptus and mint characters.

This bottle still needs some time to find itself.
There is much nice meatyness on the fore and back end palate, however the middle is somewhat thin and has quite a lot of alcohol "taste" to it.
