Great nose. Fruit forward but not sweet. Shortish finish with a weird something just as it disappears. The strangeness isn't bad, just not something I have ever tasted/felt before. Will definitely buy again.

Appears to be light enough to be a Pinot at first glance. Nice solid fruit with raspberry, cherry, plum, with a little kick of pepper on the finish. Pretty crisp and a bit high on the alcohol at first but with 30 min air it mellows out a lot.

Dark purple, with a slight haze. Brooding aromas of smoke, meat, leather, and oak, with flavors of black fruits, well-integrated tannins, and a medium-long finish.

Cherry and plum in appearance, with a bright and aromatic raspberry bouquet with a hint of pepper and smoked meat emerging with time. On the attack relatively light, almost pinot'esq with a nice sappy intensity that follows through with a clean acidic based flavor profile of persistent berry, cherry, rose petals and spice. The finish was short and a tad hot for me, with alcohol evident which was certainly a negative in my book. Not a complex wine, but I liked the freshness, weight, and drinkability. Very food friendly working well with a simple skirt steak. However, I will not buy more given the choices out there in $15-30 range for domestic and imported rhone varietals. Fair value at $14 from the Winehouse in west LA but a dismal prospect at the list price of ~$28

Ruby color with aromatic red fruit, violet and anise aromas. On the palate, it light-bodied, balanced and ever so slightly tart with raspberry, red currant, and spice flavors, and a lengthy finish. Blend of Grenach, Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault, and Counoise.

Progressing nicely. Softening up and gaining complexity. Much more enjoyable than expected.
