So I bought a cellar; 11/12/2022-12/31/2030: I’m really impressed by this. Opened with an ah so, and only moderately soaked cork. Nose of red fruit, but muted and light. Raspberry - maybe stewed - and other cooked berries, pie like, but not sweet. I had super low expectations, but this was nice. Certainly not improving, but if you have these, drink now with confidence.

Loved this wine. Cork was definitely on it's last legs. A large amount of sediment. But filtered and decanted and it was just delicious. Still had good body, aged flavor to it. Definitely drink up soon.

Earthy, currants, mushrooms, and tobacco on the nose. Good balance with dark berries on the palate. Medium finish. Nice mature wine, but not too complex.

Clear garnet with no rim browning. Cherry, cedar, chocolate. Very low acids, medium to low tannins. Blackberry. Short slightly acidic finish. Double blind tasting.

Interesting, very nice surprise, great value. Excellent fruit, with some spice and complexity. (Doing this from memory; will provide more detail on a future tasting. 86-88, possibly higher.)

This was a good mixed blend with a taste of a european wine. Not something I would drink without food but on sale might buy to drink with a light meal. Not a heavy wine.

Very nice red fruit nose. I felt this had a very flavorable mid palate and was moderately full bodied. A excellent wine for the price. Balanced but still with tannins present. This was a magnum and could have gone another year or two. The 750's should be ready now.

Drank with Donna, to accompany spinach pesto and homemade bread. Good; not outstanding. Very smooth, right out of the bottle. Later, though, Donna thought that the absence of tannins made it almost tasteless; I didn't go that far, but it was definitely less full-bodied than I would have liked.

Still drinking well. Distinctly Rhone in style. Dense, ripe fruit. Cassis. Minimal tannin at this point.

This wine had really smoothed out even though it was beyond the year recommended to drink. There was a higher sugar content in the wine.

Decent but not great. Not a lot of balance,a little bitter on the finish.

Starting to show some signs of age - slight brown around the edges. Good smooth finish, soft tannins.

I really enjoyed this bottle as a change of pace. I found lots of sweet earthy berry fruits and a sharp, peppery taste. I wish I had more of this one!

Slightly Fruity, not sharp but not very bold either.

Good color, with a broad nose of fruit, banana, raspberry, apple. Good warm fruit, with peppery, herbaceous tingle on the palate, little finish.

Quick Day Trip to Napa (Napa Valley CA): Tasting at winery. Unbalanced CDP replica. Good pepper and spice but fruit is fat to start, then shrill on finish.
