Delightful. After seeing previous taster's notes, I left it in the cellar a bit longer. Interesting nose, fig and anise on the tongue, soft tannins. Lovely.

So over-manipulated. In the nose there is almost only burned rubber which continues in the mouth. There is absolutely no fruit and a weird accidic tone.

Burned rubber and animal notes in the nose. No fruit whatsoever. And same thing happens in the mouth. Extremely manipulated wine, that just doesn't have the fruit to balance it.

A real pleaser wine. Starts with dark fruits which give a sweet start. Then comes the taste of coffee and soft spice, which goes into a great finish with big niveau of tannins. Great finish. Great value for the price.

Wrote this about the first bottle: "The arresting aroma develops into a sanguinary, beefy melange, with plenty of dark fruits and touches of mushroom and herbs to boot. On the palate, it’s juicy, featuring ripe to jammy fig, blackberries and just a kiss of warm spice. It finishes with chalky tannins that’ll melt right into grilled meat of some sort or another" Second bottle had a nasty green, vegetal streak; it was interesting at first but my palate tired of it over time. I did decant the first bottle for an hour plus, whereas I decanted the 2nd but started drinking right away. I'll test that theory next time. 1st bottle: 92pts; 2nd bottle: 84.

Deep purple/black - slight mustiness that dissipates after an hour in the decanter. Black cherries and plums on the nose. Slightly sweet and intense on the palate, a very full and slightly grainy mouthfeel, a fresh acidity and a very long finish.

High marks for me, need to get out of the continious high 80's...Great wine that is balanced and has all the qualities of a solid red here that is great match with food, good solo, and will stand to mature for a couple of years in cellar - all for 18$ CAN - Stellar!
So the nose is rich and gets you ready for palate. Lots of dark fruit, some nice sausage/meaty qualities thanks to the oak expression. Palate is medium to full bodied, nice hit of acid and light/medium tannin. Fruit kind of forward - that dark, meaty kind "roasted" as per last note? Finish is long and fades to that dark fruit and some oak. This is great, and want to put some bottles away for 2-5 yrs.

This wine was a showstopper as its expressive nose showed a balanced mix of red and black berries, pretty floral notes with a bit of stemy funk, and mocha and oak, which followed close behind. On the palate, it showed great balance as its rich body gave way to juicy red berry fruit with cinnamon and black pepper. The finish was long, showing a mix of ripe berries.

There's noticeable oak on the nose, giving it a nice, noble quality. Toasty richness. Some cinnamon and spice box. Slight hints of tobacco leaf. Downplayed fruit. On the palate it has rich texture. Great structure and balance. Rich red berry fruit. Some white pepper and spice. The oak element adds a nice layer. It's a sexy wine with almost a hint of flowers. Very nice. Lingering spicy red berry.

I agree with those who do not like this wine, very disappointing, it may have been one with a very short shelf life

Man this wine is terrible. I don't know what the hell I was thinking on that first bottle, or what caused me to buy more.
