Very transparent in the glass, ruby hued. Brambly red fruit on the nose. Dark and plush on the palate, with predominant purple and black berry flavors. Clear new oak influence, with pronounced tannins. Potentially some RS. Medium-high acidity. Extracted, "international" style. Good age to enjoy. Very drinkable with or without food. Quality.

Pronounced (Ah-LYAH-NEE-KO). Nose was immediate of cranberry and vanilla as I popped the cork and poured into the decanter. 3 hours later got a mix between cherry/cranberry. Palate is medium to full bodied with a initial tartness. The acidity is integrated nicely in the mid-palate that leads nicely into a smooth lingering gentle spice finish. I love Kenneth Volk wines because they produce different obscure varietal wines that you do not get to enjoy everyday. 5,13,15,6=89

Bouquet: Breads, macro sugars, heavy wild strawberry, mild tannins. Palate: Sweet, expressive front, basic mid with a hint of orange duck or kalua pig, a wet and medium bodied finish with plenty of red fruits.

In a three-soup, three wine dinner, this was the wine that was great with the big red soup, delicate in a way but huge aromas of dark fruit and oak with a dark berry dusty smoke flavor. Also great with turkey snd chicken, but don't overlook the hearty red veggie soap as it's food pairing.

Decanted for 3 hours, consumed over 1 hour. This was a great match with our simple turkey dinner: forward cherry/cranberry fruit, with good acid levels and a spicy earthiness. Well-balanced, and a wine I'd buy again. This is young but drinks well now, and it seems to have plenty of life to it. 90+

Ran through Vinturi into a decanter. Color Ruby red. Nose of plum and blueberries, subtle and inviting. Palate medium to full bodied. Has an acidic tartness to it. A nice wine to have just by itself. I would buy this again. 5,13,15,5=88

It's hard to give a score to a varietal/wine that one knows very little about! This was a pleasure to drink. Bouquet: Melon rind, smoked pine, green pea and nutmeg. Palate: Chocolate, raspberry, mild alcohols, cinnamon and chestnut.

Maybe past it's prime, very drinkable with notes of raspberry & pepper, but ultimately uninteresting
