Straightforward with quite impressive fruit and a structural backbone which makes me tick. Nose offers up classy dark fruit, fresh herbs and a whiff of mint. The palate adds nicely to the overall experience with structure and a nice balance between fruit and acidity. The 2009 Collide presents itself as a drinkable, balanced and very nice effort. Not sure it will cellar very well, but it certainly was very enjoyable tonight.

Maybe it's because I just got back from a weekend of tasting Oregon Pinot Noirs but I liked this wine (and did the first time I tasted it). Won't tell you about all sorts of fruit smells but I like the taste and finish. Not as strong as a Cab but more punch than a Merlot (or Pinot Noir). Buy some and form your own opinion.

Blood red. Gamey nose. Earth and cedar, with a hint of toast. A rich, chunky wine with notes of chocolate, roast game, cigar box and chocolate. Chewy mouthfeel. The wine opened up and drank well.

This was much better than our previous experience. Pulled from cellar temp and ran through a Vinturi. Drank immediately over an hour and we were very pleased. Deep purple color. Still has a mustard note on the nose, but less metallic notes on the pallate. Smoother than last time around. Finish a bit short. Overall enjoyable experience. Given variance in our two bottles, recommend the Vinturi approach and drinking while still a bit chilled (60-65).

Interesting wine. Cant say that we loved it. Nose of red meat and iron, and a distinct note of mustard seed. Very tannic and had some heat that blew off, but the wine never really came around. Let it breathe for 90 minutes, then slowly revisited over several hours. Just never really got there for us. Have one more that I will probably wait on, but not holding my breath for notable improvement.

Summer Wines - Syrahs and Pinots ...: Nice, full-bodied and full-flavored wine, with ample dark berry flavors and accents of molasses and oak. Had a nice tannic backbone that lifted it to a higher level and augmented its substantial, menthol-driven finish. Not a syrah, but I'm lumping it in with the syrahs because it seemed similar to them.

A rather "tough" aroma that mixed fruit, bramble, earth. Opaque and dense. Heavy on the palate with quite a bit of heat. Did not decant. A lot of sediment. Taste of Berries and bramble with attacking tannins. Medium finish of earth and berries. Recommend decanting and filtering. A little heavy for my taste but fans of extracted wines will like this. Very interesting combination of grapes provides an interesting experience.

Less than one glass drunk on day 1, the remainder served with mocha-herb flank steak and grilled avocados with chimmichurri on day 2. A bit dense at this time, but an interesting blend that works as a cellar defender. My only bottle; drink with a lengthy decant or hold for incremental improvement. 90-91.

I read somewhere that this was 40% Petite Sirah, and that makes sense as it is better than medium-bodied. This really opened up as the night went on and it left some sediment. Can not place all the tastes, but there was finesse to it. At its best, it was mocha, tobacco with a medium finish. Would let sit for another 6-12 months. Paid about $20 for it which was fair- neither a bargain nor overpriced.

I purchased this wine after reading reviews on CellarTracker. Certainly the reviews rang true, and I was not the least bit disappointed. The wine had a color that made me think of velvet. Strong essence of strawberry, and later plum. At one point something of the taste reminded me of medicine, but I could not recall which. Overall, with a price point at around $30, this is a great value.

Dark as blood. Rich, fruity, chocolate nose. Similar notes on first tastes. Continued to open over an hour. Very good wine and excellent value.

Agree with CHRISTOFFER78'S note of 11/1/2014. Changed quite a bit since last bottle in 2013.
