Medium yellow color. Aromas of pear, melon, and green fig. Palate has sweet pear and green melon elements and the finish is medium with a refreshing sweet minerality. This is a great quaffer. Drink.

This is certainly not your generic white. Medium, clear yellow color. Fairly strong nose for a white wine; this smells like a mixture of grapefruit juice, canteloupe and wet granite. Medium-bodied, lots of citrus, but mostly strong mineral flavors on the palate; think lemonade mixed with gravel. Moderate finish. This wine is crisp and has a high degree of acidity, but it's just not to my taste. Definitely a food wine; not much on its own. Has a tinge of bitterness and seems a bit rough. Could do in a pinch, but I won't be buying more of this.

The nose has floral notes with sweetened lemon, lots of minerality and a creaminess ~ The palate has a crispness yet still a chalky mouthfeel with flavors of lemon, green apple skin and slightly bitter & chalky finish ~ An interesting & enjoyable wine & great value

Lemon and floral aromas. Dry and chalky with flavors of lemon meringue, melon and citrus. Although there were hints of fruit it's more Old World style with lots of minerality. An excellent and refreshing wine for summer.

Medium yellow color. Aromas of lemon, straw, lime, and guava. Palate has a nice mix of lemon and sweet herbal elements with a bit of minerality in a medium finish. This is refreshing and would be a good starter wine or a fine pairing for fish and lighter chicken dishes. Drink.

A wine that truly expresses the terroir. Dry, chalky, dusty... very little fruit... just as the vegetation in this region is spare and dry. Intense minerality on the nose and on the palate... if you like a dry, crisp white, this one is an outstanding example of that style.

Giant Wine Sale & Tasting 12/3/2011 (Cellar on Greene, Columbia, SC): Very old world in style. As opposed to being New World fruit forward, this wine is definitely terroir driven. The color is gold. The nose to me is oily, chalky lemon. That chalkiness continues on to the palate as a quite different, but extremely pleasant, earthy, salty, grainy dryness. The fruit profile of apple, pear, mango, and lemon, is by design, not really showcased, it is part of a totally integrated, complete package of refreshing thirst quenching flavor. There is perfect balance and harmony. The finish is a mineral driven dryness that is complete across the whole palate. I've never had a wine quite like this.

Nothing complex here. Very thin, fruit and accompaniment is beyond austere, even by stylistic French standards. Better on the cooler side.

Beautiful wine, lemon is most pronounced on the palate. The wine really opens up as it warms up to room temperature.

Light lemon color. Friendly, summer wine; white fruit, medium bodied.
