Decanted and served with king salmon. This had lovely flavor and structure but the toasted oak and tannins would still seem to benefit from more integration. There's plenty of youthful fruit left so I expect improvement with more bottle age.

After so many years, this has finally opened up. Medium expressive nose displaying subtle sweet red and black fruit, raspberry jelly, blackberry, beautiful sous bois, black truffle, cinnamon and nutmeg, tree bark and earthy mineral. Nicely integrated palate, finely layered subtle red fruit, silky and fluid, medium acidity, a hint of slightly dry tannins and a medium long red fruit driven finish. This is a nice mature Burgundy.

Strong sous bois finally emerged, sweet slightly dry red fruit, mushroom, a hint of cedar, leather, sweet spices and earth. Fully integrated palate, subtle dry red fruit, medium acidity, earthy mineral and a medium to long sweet red fruit driven finish. Very good showing

Earth, mushroom and dried fruits show up on the nose. The palate is medium bodied and silky through mid palate....the key flavors are mushroom, brown spice and dried red fruits. On the finish, there is still a fair amount of acidity although the tannins are much softer than the last bottle I had (appx. 2 years ago). The flavors linger nicely although they show a little bit of heat as the flavors fade. Not a bad wine, and is drinking better now than any of the prior 3 bottles I tried...I doubt it will continue to improve, so drink now and over the next 1-2 years with herb rubbed lamb chops.

Not bad. Last of the case, but not best of the case. Nice Burgundian nose. Smooth tannins, red fruit and some minerals on the palate. Just a touch off balance. Doubtful if this will improve further.

It surprisingly gained a lot of weight in a year. The fruit is more noticeable in this bottle. Sappy, mushroom, more blackberries but some raspberry as well. Vibrant acidity but not too complex. Still youthful but quite enjoyable.

A lot of bottle variation in the case that I bought. This is bottle #10 of the case. Notes generally consistent with my previous postings, but this bottle was a little off balance and unlikely to improve further with age.

Clearly the best of the case so far. Thoroughly enjoyed this wine. Medium ruby red color. Vibrant and complex nose of black cherry, citrus, mint, spice and pine forest floor. Palate was also young and fresh with great acidity and minerality. Long and satisfying finish.

Better than last bottle that seemed past peak... this one was still vibrant, with plenty of red fruits, earth and menthol on the nose, but with some volatile alcohol as well... Nice palate holds on to the red fruits with some minerals and forest floor. Medium bodied, firm tannins, bracing acidity and a lingering finish. Will not be everyone's style for sure, but not bad...

Seemed to be slightly past peak? Red fruits, minerals, earth and some BUrgundy pinot funk on the nose and palate. Not bad, but a touch jammy, indicating that is it fading... drink up.

Very similar to last bottle... not bad at all, but unbelievable acidity with the red fruits, earth and minerals. Nice long finish, but it may be from the acidity that is so high it attacks your mouth.

Mid colour, nice mature barnyardy and slightly animal nose, bit thin and weedy on the palate though - lacking the fruit to balancethe acidity. By the glass in a restaurant though, so might have been open too long.

Not quite as smooth as last bottle. Light ruby red color> Nice classic Burgundian nose with alittle funk, black cherry and strawberry, but the palate was dominated by bracing acidity and minerality. Not bad with a nice finish.

Big wine for the vintage, with sturdy tannins and good acidity. Black cherry and raspberry fruit, lots of earth and some Bdx-like cigarbox, long finish. This is one 2000 that could use some time. Really tasty, and even better as an apertif the next day.

A bit tired and astringent. Powerful tannins, but lacking the fruit. Lean wild cherry notes.

Similar notes to last bottle, except this one had no volatile alcohol and was more balanced. Overall, a very nice bottle of wine.
