Initial nose was a touch funky and had me thinking it was possibly corked but this blew off after 15 minutes and then absolutely fine. Towards the full bodied end of the spectrum. Tannins are fine but still present to give structure. More dark fruits than red. Some slight sweetness. Much better with both time and food. I left around 2 glasses in the bottle overnight and it was better on the second day. Becoming softer
Drink 2020-2030

Smoked meat on the nose with sweet strawberry and wet earth flavors. Not a lot of acid and a little oxidation on the nose. Very enjoyable, but only for another 5 years.

This was drinking beautifully tonight after a couple of hours of double decanting. Deep, rich dark fruit with Asian spice notes, earthy undertones and an overall sauvage feel. Excellent!!!

This is drinking really well today with 2 or 3 hours of double decanting. There's an overall sauvage character with good heft and depth to the dark fruit, Asian spice and sous bois notes. The finish is med length with some moderately firm, chalky tannins. Very nice.
Finished the last glass 5 or 6 hours after opening and it was singing beautifully by then.

Very nice. Med bodied with dark fruit, some blueberry compote, sous bois and some subtle herbal undertones. The tannins are chalky, fine grained and well integrated but still fairly firm. This is drinking nicely now but could probably still use abit more time. It needed about an hour or so in the glass to begin to open.

taste: rich tannins show off its youth and makes a bit of a wall for the robust tones of brown spices, red cherries, raspberries and currants
overall: this is extremely young right now. The tannins are big and are begging for the wine to be aged for a good while before opening next. There is good promise on this, but its just brutally young right now

Full colour. Dark, chocolatey, and ripely fruited. Lovely and plummy and quite fresh, with a real meatiness underneath. Round and supple and not too heavy in the mouth, but just a little loose. Nice earthy touch and great length. Very successful. 4-

Garagiste Burgundy Tasting (Seattle WA): Wine tasting. Massively concentrated black fruit aromas and flavors, that along with the sense of new oak almost give this wine a surprisingly sweet character. Middle seems quite tannic and shut today, then good black fruit re-emerges on finish.

This wine was ruby red with sediment, and light to medium color intensity. Aromas of clove and black cherry with a little acidity, and spiced flavors. A balanced with with a smooth finish

Knightsbridge's Burgundy Tasting (Knightsbridge, Northbrook IL): nose: very powerful nose with dense tones of brown spices, red cherries, raspberries and red currants. A bit too much power at this point as it needs to calm down a bit
