APPEARANCE 10/10 points. Color is light yellow, with a very, very faint hint of green. Medium-slow legs. Clear.
AROMA 17/20 points. Nice strength. Lime, pineapple, apples, citrus. The oak is faint. Vanilla.
FLAVOR 37/40 points. This one also has good balance. It is just a slight bit bitter. The fruit is faint. It is apricot and melon, plus some faint citrus. There is a lot of dark spice in this one. The end-palate is rich with oak and vanilla.
BODY AND FINISH 27/30 points. Medium-full bodied. Texture is a bit tingly from the spice. But it is also smooth and creamy. Good finish. The oak and vanilla carry through the end.
TOTAL SCORE: 91 points.

Buttery pears and pineapple coconut scents. Same on the palate: pineapple, coconut oil (actually has an oily texture), and typical buttered toast. The interesting Condrieu-like unctuousness is a bit over-the-top but I like it.

We're really not a fan of Chardonnays, especially those with a lot of oak and butter tones.. BUT, with spicy Jerk Chicken, this wine was fabulous! Food pairing really matters with wine. This (for us) is not a sipper out on the deck, but was pretty darn good with some spicy/salty food.

A neighbor brought this to our casual BBQ - I really wish they hadn't. Two sips and the rest in the garden. Terrible fruit, completely disjointed acids.

Ready to drink, but do give it a chance to get used to its new surroundings before drinking. At first opening it tasted harsh, but within half an hour it really opened up.

We have been trying to find a less expensive, buttery, oaky everyday chardonnay for my wife. Over-the-top oak? Yes. But unlike a lot of sub $20 chardonnays that clumsily apply oak, this seems to be in balance. It then becomes just a style choice. Not a Rombauer, but for the money....

medium golden colored. the nose shows lemons and, believe it or not, a hint of saline. the palate is buttery and toasty as always, but nothing much else going for it.

A nose of citrus and some spice, medium yellow in color. A medium bodied white, with apple, pear, vanilla and toasty oak. A good value.

We liked the toasted head white blend from last night better. This has strong oak flavor
