Pop and pour. On the nose: lemon, chamomile, grapefruit. On the palate:.lovely acidity, mousse fades quickly, but more bergamot, lemon and tangerine. Very yummy!

Tremendous persistent bubbles. Quite lovely fruit. Performed far above its price point. Seems to have an upside. Looking forward to tasting maturation in my remaining bottles - if I'm able to keep my hands off these.

Retail $45? 100% Chardonnay. I bought six bottles of this wine from Garagiste.com which took close to six months to receive. Worth the wait. I have stated many times that I prefer my champagnes with Pinot Noir being the dominant (or only) force in the wine. I am slowly coming around, however, to the other side. I am particularly surprised that the fruit for this wine comes from the Côte des Bar, a region that was only recently added to the "official" Champagne production area. A bit golden in the glass with a lovely nose of tart lemon and fresh croissant. Yum. The palate has a fine mousse, a zingy tartness, and wave upon wave of fruit. In fact, more so than other champagnes I have had recently, this wine is really defined by its fruit, and it is fantastic. Excellent. 91 Points
Pop and pour. 19 Jan 2022 disg, not sure of base vintage. Notes from Day 2 open. On the nose: grapefruit and lemon, with some chamomile. Lovely mousse, perhaps a touch aggressive on the palate. Excellent density and minerality with meyer lemon and sweet pink grapefruit on the palate. Solid finish.
Ok, this is just a baby. Best on Day 3 open (in the fridge with champagne stopper overnight). So expressive now.

From la carte at L'Express. Nose is delicate and not very expressive: citrus and chalk. Clean, simple, taught. Ok but lacking personality for my taste. Would do nicely with oysters.

Maybe my favorite champagne for the $$. July 2018 disgorgement. Slightly oxidized apple, another note mentioned yellow pear and I think that’s dead on. I also find a bit of something exotic in the background that I’m going to call mango. The acidity reminds me more of lime than lemon and there is a nice toastiness as well.

Blanc de Blancs 100% Chardonnay, 8g of sugar. Comes from Cote de Bars, in southern Champagne region. Nutty, mineral chalk, salty finish. Pair with Brillat Savarin (White compact cow milk cheese from Brie region).

2 heactares of a single plot of soil with good exposure of the sun. Smells maybe a touch reductive, than soft and generous on the mid palate. Not as intensely acid driven as some but still has a lingering finish to it. Pear and green apple. Yellow pear. Easy does it.

Sourced from the Champ Persin vineyard in the Aube. 100% Chardonnay from 10-20 year old vines. 10g/ltr of sugar. Clear straw color. A linear sparkler with notes of lemon zest and hazelnuts. Fine bead with a salty character. 90-91 points.

This was a nice and decent entry level Blanc de Blancs Champagne. The bubbles are lively and energetic. The taste is fruity and fresh. There are no subtle complexities here, but no faults either.

Had this to toast my mother on what what would have been her 100th birthday, then continued to drink the wine with some pan seared fish.much better than I expected. The Chardonnay comes through wonderfully, like a very good Chablis, no oak and butter. Nicely citrus laden, with the yeast adding a goodly amount of complexity. Excellent QPR on top of a tasty mouthful of juice.

A youthful, bright, fruity, simple Champagne with fine bubbles and crisp acidity. Not much complexity here as it is all about fresh fruits like apples, pears and peaches. No minerality, yeast or toast. Fun but not stimulating.

Bright, forward and friendly, this is an enormously enjoyable bottle of bubbly. Made in a sprightly, fruit-driven style, this is definitely geared more as an apertif, but it's brilliant at that. What it lacks in complexity, it more than makes up for in sheer enjoyment. Just delicious. Glad I've got another bottle, although I can assure that won't be the case for long.

Quite nondescript on the nose... with some time ... slightly chalky
On the palate rather elegant, yet with quite clean fruit expression, lemon and chalk but fruit is dominating here.
There is some slight metallic flavour to it which periodically turns into a bitter aftertaste like from too much fresh wood.
Overall, drinks quite easily...
not my favorite expression of champagne though but I can live with it...
lets see how the magnum does in some years...
