With steamed lobsters and asparagus, the wine is beautifully colored, bright intense yellow, with aromas of white fruits. Refined texture with good flavors and minerals and a long finish. A little lacking in depth, but for a simple Puligny Village, it is just beautiful.

Consumed over two nights. Night two showed a bit more weight and depth than the previous night. The nose shifted from a white fruit and mildly (albeit pleasant) stinky cheese-like aroma on the first night to more red apple and petrol tones. The palate displays white shale, oyster water minerality and white peaches. Very pleasant and pleasing to see evolve over the two nights. It seemed that no two consecutive glasses tasted the same, which made for a thought provoking wine.

Consumed in La Cave d'Argent with Avelino Cortina, assorted cheeses, sourdough, walnuts and olive oil. Light yellow robe with clear rim. Clean nose, showing moderately intense aromas of lemons, peaches and wet stones. Medium-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity, ripe fruit flavors (for a Burgundy) which mirror the fruits on the nose, and a medium, crisp finish. Nice, but the 2005 Pernot Bourgogne is better (in my humble opinion).

This is drinking very well, and began to sing towards the end of dinner. Good amount of apple and citrus fruit. Refreshingly dry and crisp. Perfect match to our seared kanpachi sashimi, seared scallops, and blackened mahi mahi. Joy to drink. Wish I had more.

Ordered this at Milos in NYC to go with Lupo di Mar (sea bass) for $90. This was great. Right out of the bottle there was an initial nose of granny smith apples and pineapple. This developed over the meal to show hints of nectarine, flowers and a slight petrol nose. Very nice acidity. Not being big fans of white wines, my wife and I loved this, and are looking to track down more. 89-91 points.

The Dutch Visit: Part 1; 3/31/2006-4/1/2006: Off the wine list at Quince Restaurant in San Francisco. Bright yellow in color. Aromas of bright citrus and chalky rock dust, with the faintest suggestion of a sweeter, more tropical fruit. Intensely flavored citrus notes combined with a powerful minerality make for a striking mid-palate expression on this impressive if young wine. If we had tasted this blind, I think I would have identified it as a Premier to perhaps even Grand Cru Chablis from one of the more classic years.

not bad for a village wine; good structure, but missing a little something on the mid-palate and finish
