A 'Lost Cellar' wine. This is a delicious properly mature bottle of village Meursault with a deep golden colour with a healthy touch of green. The nose is of lemons, fresh pears, fresh oats, honey and hazelnuts. The palate is medium weight with the fading fruit replaced by mature characters of honey, nuts and oats and finished with a nice whip of minerals and acidity. A really delicious bottle of what mature WB is about.

Dinner at Wasserman's. Stunning Meursault. Medium to pale yellow in color. Nose of burnt caramel and white wild flowers. Some chalky limestone notes too. Excellent minerality on the palate and lots of lush tropical fruit. Still alive and kicking.

HUB / HDH Bonnes Mares & Mersault tasting (University Club): Medium full yellow color. Big forward sweet yellow fruit with rich butterscotch notes. Huge rich yellow bitter round acidic honeyed caramel fruit with a note of lemon curd. Definitely showing it's age, but no sign of pre-mature oxidation here. At or just past its peak.

Mature but not overly so. Nice golden hazelnut character.
