Pop and pour. In the glass, still relatively youthful, reddish-magenta with the faintest auburn at the rim. On the nose, cherries, roses, and a slight touch of prunes. On the palate, very smooth, with concentrated dark cherries, slate, and background notes of clove and nutmeg, paired with almost fully resolved tannins on a moderately long finish. I think we're at the peak and nearing the gentle downward decline, so if you have any, time to check in for sure.

In a great place. Candied red fruits, beautiful nose, incredibly smooth. Only complaint is that it's a bit light on acidity. Perfect match for roast salmon.

Opened, decanted, and paired with chicken enchiladas with no heat and it actually held up fairly well. Very nicely done Pinot with great balance and complexity.

Moderate purple in color, very pretty cherry and raspberry tart fruit flavors, big nose and a persistent finish. Drinking well now, clearly not losing its edge.

DuMOL make some of our favorite Pinot Noirs, and this mouth coating wine is no exceptio, although a bit more tame. After 7 years it still has youthful dark cherry fruit that melds nicely into lavender, chorizo smoked meat and black pepper mid-palate. Cinnamon spice shows on a lengthy lust finish.
Decanted 30 minutes before service. In the glass, clear ruby red. On the nose, a muted mixture of floral notes and crushed berries. On the palate, a watered-down version of the DuMOL style: silky texture, pinot spice, cherries, pure fruit and minerality, just less of all of them. Not a bad wine by any means, but a bit perplexing given the performance we've come to expect.

Double Blind Pinot Tasting at T&T's (Tina's House): Impressions: Light garnet. Nose of water melon and red fruits. Palate is red/dark red berries and watermelon rind. High- acid, medium body, medium finish. Slightly disjointed. 83

Beautiful wine. Had with friends and roasted chicken. Notes of roses and berries with a long finish and light but silky texture. Very well balanced wine. Everyone was a fan.

Deep red color. Nice nose. Deep rich flavors of cherry and black raspberry. No noticeable alcohol, just wonderful balance and the message that this wine can last another 5 to 7 years. Last bottle.

Dark fruits blend together for a sliightly muddy taste. I liked the wine and I like the winery. This bottle just didn't perform as well as I thought it would.

- It's balanced with a medium/full body. Round texture with a long finish - Lots of fruit with nice structure. Drinking well now with a little air or continue to hold

(MASH, Copenhagen) Not a lot of experience with Californian Pinot, but quite liked this one, even though it was quite young. Good and compleks. Sort of a "smooky" taste! And pomegranates.

Trip to Napa/Sonoma; 11/7/2009-11/14/2009 (Napa/Sonoma): Barrel Sample of partial blend. From memory as I did not take detailed notes during the tour. My favorite Pinot of the tasting. Had all the elements, with pure ripe fruit, prominent structure with balanced acidity. Floral and red fruit nose. Complex palate with an herbal spiciness, and a distinct mineral note on the finish. 93+

Good but not as good as dumol's non-vineyard designated pinos. Just a touch out of balance.

Deep, brooding, heavy, primarily dark red fruited with black tea notes. Somewhat hot. Solid.
