Probably at its peak now, delicious velvet on palette, complete fruit blast in a good way, lots of body and balanced with some acidity. Very Napa. Some sediment on bottom but manageable, tannins rounded off and smooth at this point.

Been holding this since my first visit with Mike Smith. Still on the young side for me but really tasty, with loads of rich, dark fruit. The plush mouthfeel leads to a warm, spicy, and moderately tannic finish.

Agree with other tasting notes mostly, think would be better with food than on its own, lots of fruit/berry on the nose, similar to another 2009 Rutherford Cab i've tasted but slightly better. Took an hour or more in the glass to come together

Full bodied, tannic, ripe fruit, with some oak and bitter sweet chocolate. This wine should improve, however it is drinking very well right now. At $50+ bucks, it's a little rich but it is good.

Excellent offering from Mike Smith. Hard to believe that this was Rutherford juice as the "dust" was only slightly complementary instead of the main attraction (which is a good thing for my palate).

I'd echo the comments about color. However, it's full of tannins at the moment. My wife described it as "chalky." At the front of the mouth, it has all of the flavors referred to in other notes, but the abiding memory for me is of the dry finish and after-taste. I'd give it a few more years before drinking again.

At a recent tasting with Mike Smith in Boca and this was the most surprising wine of the night. Reminded me of a barrel sample of ToKalon. Probably the most indulgent and intense cabernet I have tasted. Full bodied, subtle creamy tannins, ripe fruit, vanilla, cotton candy, with a touch of oak, maybe a bit over the top. My wife would love this wine. Looking forward to trying again and hearing others thoughts.

Deep purple color, smooth and medium finish, drank like a classic Rutherford wine. Very nice.
