Ruby, red fruit driven nose, little lacking in acidity making it a little too fruit forward. No earthy or other flavours outside of fruit, no real finish. Perfectly drinkable and tasty however.

Cherry and earthy funk on the nose, giving way to darker red fruit and a gamey character with some air. Dark red fruit on attack, with decent acidity. Slight spice from the oak with tannins and more earthy notes mid-palate. Finish is brief but not unpleasant. An easy drinker, but not a stunner by any stretch.

Nice, light bodied wine enjoyed by all following heavy Thanksgiving meal. Garnet colored. Fruity nose. Full, red raspberry taste nicely balanced with a bit of earthiness. Bright, linear texture with medium finish.

Appearance: Bright and clear, medium (+) ruby in color, with paler rims and legs. Nose: Clean, medium (+) intensity and having youthful aromas of black cherry, plum, baked strawberry, chocolate, toast, ginger and earth. Palate: Dry with medium and lively acidity, showing medium tannin of well-integrated and grippy texture, the wine is of medium alcohol and medium body, showing medium (+) intensity flavors of black cherry, baked strawberry, toast, chocolate and plum, with medium length. Conclusion: Good quality mid-priced California Pinot Noir with a fairly intense nose of good complexity. The tannin is a bit grippy but overall the acidity and juicy style are in good balance, with a fairly concentrated palate, finishing with reasonable length. Ready to drink now and not intend for further ageing.

Carmel road Pinot noir 2010. Visiting our daughter in Boulder. Tasted this with dinner at Leaf Restaurant in Boulder, one of the best Vegetarian restaurants we have experienced. Very creative dishes. It has nice legs and a nose of plum, black berry and dark cherry. A little acidity at the beginning gives way to a little spice and mineral. It has a medium length finish. All in all a nice medium body Pinot.

Dark red berry, slightly acidic aroma. Quite smooth, blackberry, black cherry, slightly spicy oak flavor. Easy to drink but doesn't seem overly complex. Picked up at Wilbur's Foco for $14.99.

(13.5%) Brought by a friend this one is warm, rich and ripe red berry fruit. Supple and smooth with earthy acidity that leads to a nice creamy, toasted oak spiced finish. At $15 this is a moderate QPR.

color: raspberry x medium purple; nose: small traces of strawberry and oak -- but, sadly, not much!; taste: light-medium bodied mouth feel, strawberry taste and mid-palate, short but neat finish; overall: simple middle-of-the-pack wine yet tasty and food-friendly, lacks thunder, just-OK QPR ($15)

Very nice, earthy, medium-bodied Pinot Noir. Paired well with fried oysters and spinach over angel hair pasta with garlic butter and olive oil.

Light burgundy, clear and bright, but not sparkling.
Moderate berry nose.
Smooth, light wine. Drink it now and don't worry about it too much.
